Antwerp, Let's do the Boogie? Boogie Time! It's time for a Boogie!
We love to boogie on a Saturday night! High school boogie, African boogie! I said I love to boogie, I love to do the african boogie with you!!!
— Mim Suleiman
Mim Suleiman has been described as Mama Africa of the Modern Era.
She started hearing streams of voices, rhythms, and poetry working as a teaching metallurgical technician at The University of Birmingham. With no musical background whatsoever, Mim Suleiman left her job to pursue her dream.
Her very recent first album, Kawaida (2017), is the perfect mix of what defines this proud African artist. With her love and enthusiasm for melodies and rhythms, Mim is able to play her crowd like no other.
“From Techno to 105-Year- Old Tanzanian Singers, Mim Suleiman’s Music Knows No Boundaries.” (THUMP)
